Financial Literacy Workshop
The Financial Literacy Workshop training will include middle school and high school curriculum for a limit of 50 participants. Training will be held at the MacMullin Conference Center at Higgins Lake. This outdoor center is the perfect place for a summer conference due to its relaxed, peaceful setting in the woods by the lake. The workshop will be held the week of August 4th since this is the time that most teachers are getting in the mood to prepare for school. Teachers may be able to to secure sponsors such as banks and credit unions to defray the costs.
FCSEM members will be offered a reduction in registration fees.
Outcomes of the workshop
- Official FEFE Training
- Full semester curriculum
- No text books needed
- Choice of credit/SBCEUs
- Interdisciplinary application
- Kinesthetic learning activities
- Technology incorporated, such as PowerPoint
- Based on national standards and benchmarks
- Pre/Post test with answer keys
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Carol Lile or Louise Bombyk.
Subscriptions to Listserve
Many participants have been deleted because their email systems cause messages to them to "bounce". After a few "bounced" messages, our system deletes the address from the listserv. It is automatic, and you will receive no notice.
Check to be sure your inbox has capacity for incoming messages and that your server has not been "down" for a period of time.
If you do not receive a listserv message in 10 days or so, you have probably been deleted. Please check for and fix any problems on your end before asking to be reinstated. If your district takes your server down over the summer, you may wish to switch your subscription to another account. Thanks!
