FCSEM/MiAFCS recognizes outstanding teachers!

In order to be considered for each of these awards you must meet the following requirements:
  • ​​Rising Star must have been an educator for less than 5 years 
  • Teacher of the Year must have been an educator for more than 5 years

In addition candidates in both categories must meet the following: 
  • ​Current Family and Consumer Sciences Educator 
  • Current Member of the FCSEM/MiAFCS Organization

Award winners will receive the following:

*Recognition on FCSEM/MiAFCS website
​*Letter of achievement sent to their administration 
*Letter of achievement for their portfolio

FCCLA Student Scholarship 

Each year, FCSEM / MiAFCS assists one Michigan FCCLA high school student reach their post secondary goals by providing a $500 scholarship towards college education.  The FCSEM / MiAFCS is searching for current Michigan FCCLA high school student members to apply for this scholarship.  One student will be the deserving recipient of this scholarship and will be acknowledged during the FCCLA State Conference in March and the FCSEM / MiAFCS conference.  ​
